About the Role
Job Summary: Prepare AutoCAD drawings per given site verification (SV) or direct instruction. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Create and maintain projects under the guidance of the project manager. Translate field technician notes (site verification) into CAD using AAON standard Facility Drafting Department protocol. • Prepare AutoCAD drawings based on site verification or direct instructions. • Create and maintain drafting projects under project manager guidance. • Convert field technician notes into CAD following AAON standards. • Manage both single‑file and multi‑file project organization. • Work independently with minimal supervision and maintain organized records.

What You Bring
Education and Experience Requirements: Prefer some formal college‑level education in related fields such as Engineering Graphics. Familiarity with basic building construction, including codes, restrictions, and regulations. Minimum 1‑3 years of AutoCAD experience in building‑construction layout fields (civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, mechanical, or electrical). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be proficient with AutoCAD 2D using Model Space and Paper Space layouts. Must be proficient using both singular and multi‑file organization within a single project. Must be able to take direction and work with little oversight, stay organized, and keep up project record logging. Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written). Knowledge of other CAD programs is encouraged. • Hold at least 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience in building‑construction layout fields. • Familiar with building codes, regulations, and basic construction practices. • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D using Model Space and Paper Space layouts. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Knowledge of additional 2D CAD programs is a plus.
