About the Role

The role supports construction projects by observing field activities, testing and inspecting a variety of building materials, performing calculations and data analysis, and maintaining clear communication with contractors, technicians, and project managers. • Observe and document field activities related to construction processes. • Sample, test, and inspect soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. • Perform calculations, reduce test data, and draft reports. • Operate field screening equipment and record readings. • Read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans. • Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers. • Represent ECS as the sole site representative. • Provide reliable transportation for job‑site travel (mileage reimbursed).

What You Bring

Ideal candidates are actively pursuing a civil engineering, construction management, or related degree, have a strong interest in building materials, can handle the physical demands of lifting and transporting equipment, and possess reliable transportation for site work. • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. • Capable of carrying 40–70 lb repeatedly and occasionally lifting 85 lb to waist height.
