About the Role
The inspector will perform daily site inspections of excavation and shaft activities, verify compliance with specifications, coordinate testing, enforce OSHA and other safety standards, and inspect materials and equipment for quality. They will document findings, provide regular progress reports, and collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and engineers to resolve issues such as unexpected ground conditions or equipment adjustments. • Conduct daily inspections of excavation and shaft work to ensure compliance with plans and safety standards. • Verify that excavation practices meet design requirements and coordinate independent testing. • Enforce OSHA and site‑specific safety protocols, identifying and reporting hazards. • Inspect materials and equipment for quality and document any deviations. • Produce regular inspection reports and communicate findings to contractors and engineers. • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, site conditions, and corrective actions.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least ten years of experience in heavy civil construction, particularly with large shafts and excavation, and be able to be on‑site full time. Desired qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, experience on mega rail and transit projects, ability to work with multiple partners and clients, and tunneling experience is a plus.
