About the Role
Essential duties include drainage design of storm sewers, culverts, water‑quality facilities, open channels, bridge hydraulics and stormwater permitting; coordinating efforts as part of a design team; working in a flexible, team‑oriented environment and contributing to the growth of the Stormwater group; delivering stormwater and related design projects; applying knowledge of local, state and federal stormwater management standards; preparing erosion control and stormwater management plans; developing specifications, writing technical reports and providing construction support; and serving as lead drainage technical liaison with clients. • Design storm sewers, culverts, water‑quality facilities, open channels, bridge hydraulics, and obtain stormwater permits. • Coordinate with the design team to deliver accurate and complete stormwater projects. • Contribute to the growth of the Stormwater group in a flexible, team‑oriented environment. • Prepare erosion control and stormwater management plans and develop project specifications. • Write technical reports and provide engineering support during construction. • Serve as lead technical liaison with clients on drainage projects. • Utilize software such as Open Roads Designer SUDA, Civil3D SSA, CivilStorm, SRH2D, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑RAS2D, and HY‑8.

What You Bring
The candidate must hold a BS in Civil or Water Resources Engineering, be a Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana (or obtain licensure within six months), possess strong written and verbal communication skills, have at least four years of drainage design experience, and be familiar with tools such as Open Roads Designer SUDA, Civil3D SSA, CivilStorm, SRH2D, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑RAS2D, and HY‑8. A master’s degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering, experience working with Departments of Transportation, municipalities and regulatory agencies, familiarity with GIS, and proficiency in the listed software are preferred. • Hold a BS in Civil or Water Resources Engineering and be a licensed Indiana PE (or obtain within six months). • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with at least four years of drainage design experience. • Preferred: MS in Civil or Water Resources Engineering; experience with DOTs, municipalities, and regulatory agencies; GIS familiarity; proficiency in the listed software.
