About the Role

The Maintenance Technician B works under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. Responsibilities include servicing chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role also involves basic tire work such as replacements, rotations, and tread depth inspections. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. • Conduct basic tire services such as replacement, rotation, and tread depth checks. • Provide on‑site and road service, using electronic diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions safely. • Execute line‑maintenance welding and fabrication tasks. • Complete required company training programs and adhere to safety standards. • Maintain knowledge of work order labor time standards and vehicle component systems. • Participate in comprehensive benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, health and dependent care spending accounts, short‑ and long‑term disability, life insurance, EAP, employee discounts, retirement match, ESPP, and paid time off.

What You Bring

• Have at least 1 year of technician experience with gasoline and diesel equipment or be a recent automotive technical school graduate. • Hold a valid driver’s license; ASE certifications or a commercial driver’s license are optional assets.
