About the Role

The primary role is to safely operate a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes, ensuring all deliveries and pickups are completed as scheduled. Drivers must operate their vehicles in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations, keeping the truck clean and safe. They perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report and promptly report any unsafe conditions or service issues. Participation in scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings is required, as is close collaboration with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. Drivers also respond to incidents, accidents, or property damage by notifying management and follow Service Machine protocols for issues like blocked containers or missed pick‑ups. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks safely on transfer routes following OSHA, DOT, and company standards. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using DVIR and document any issues. • Report unsafe situations, service calls, incidents, accidents, injuries, and property damage promptly to management. • Participate in all required trainings, briefings, and meetings to maintain safety and efficiency. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address problem or unsafe accounts. • Assist other company drivers as directed and follow Service Machine protocols for blocked containers or missed pick‑ups. • Dump containers completely, clean the customer site, and ensure containers are positioned upright with lids replaced. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal and finalize route documentation at the end of each shift.
