About the Role
• Install sanitary, stormwater, leachate, and waterline structures using concrete, ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, copper, corrugated metal, etc. • Lay out pipe routes from blueprints and coordinate layouts with supervisors. • Locate existing underground pipes. • Tap and drill holes to add auxiliary lines or devices. • Verify pipe slopes with levels or lasers for compliance. • Dig trenches to required depths using trenchers or track hoes. • Cut pipes to specified lengths. • Align and position pipes for fusion or sealing. • Connect pipe sections and seal joints using fusing equipment, cement, or glue. • Backfill and cover installed pipes with earth or other materials.

What You Bring
• Experience fusing HDPE piping. • Ability to operate heavy equipment for soil removal and replacement. • Proficiency in grade determination using lasers and transit levels. • Skill in operating cutting equipment for various pipe materials. • Capability to operate small powered tools such as tampers. • Competence in cutting, fitting, and sealing diverse piping types. • Effective communication with crew members. • Logical reasoning to compare site conditions with project designs. • Ability to read blueprints and related documents. • Familiarity with email, smartphones, tablets, or computers for document management. • Minimum one year of construction‑related experience (roads, highways, bridges, etc.). • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
