About the Role

The Pump and Power Road Technician 2 is responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical equipment issues, performing advanced repairs on a wide range of assets, and providing tailored solutions to customer needs. In the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager, the technician may also lead and train other team members. The role combines technical expertise with a focus on delivering exceptional service. • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems • Perform advanced repairs on pumps, generators, HVAC, compressors, and related systems • Lead and train team members in equipment repair when supervisory staff are absent • Maintain compliance with DOT driver license, medical requirements, and EPA Section 608 certification • Operate load banks, dehumidification equipment, and VFD/VSD systems

What You Bring

Candidates should have 5–7 years of experience repairing and maintaining pump and power equipment, a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and pass a DOT physical examination. EPA Section 608 universal certification is required, and a medical card is mandatory. These qualifications ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Required knowledge includes advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, diesel, and HVAC systems, as well as refrigeration, load bank, and dehumidification equipment. Experience with variable‑frequency drives, soft starters, and across‑the‑line motor starting is preferred, along with factory training in diesel generators and compressors. Mastery of load‑bank repairs and electrical engine control is essential for success in this position. Potential candidates may come from backgrounds such as construction equipment mechanic, field service technician, heavy‑equipment mechanic, maintenance electrician, or similar roles that involve repair and upkeep of industrial machinery.
