About the Role
As a member of our team you will clean designated zones, focusing on quality control, health and safety, and exceeding client expectations. You will report to the manager or supervisor and perform a variety of floor care, waste handling, and equipment maintenance tasks. • Sweep, scrub, vacuum, and mop hard‑surface floors using handheld, walk‑behind or automatic equipment. • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors manually or with power tools. • Clean glass surfaces, washroom floors, stairwells, and elevator cabs using ladders or scaffolding. • Transport and store cleaning equipment, machinery, and garbage to appropriate locations. • Prepare and replenish cleaning solutions, following WHMIS‑compliant chemical procedures. • Remove snow, ice, and debris from exterior surfaces with snowplows, blowers, or shovels. • Report needed repairs or system upgrades to management. • Mix water and detergents according to specifications for cleaning solutions.

What You Bring
The role requires knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and safe chemical procedures, as well as the physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy items, climb ladders, and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. A valid Class G driver’s license and any required security clearance are also necessary. • Demonstrated experience with institutional cleaning and floor‑maintenance equipment. • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and safe chemical handling. • Ability to lift/push/pull heavy items, climb ladders, and move up to 25 lb occasionally. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff, clients, and the public. • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, shifts, and multiple locations. • Valid Class G driver’s license and ability to obtain required security clearance.
