About the Role
The successful candidate will collaborate as a mid‑level team member or task manager, prepare engineering calculations and design drawings, and conduct site visits to assess ground conditions. Responsibilities may include on‑site inspection, applying standard trenchless techniques, and interpreting geotechnical, geological, or hydrogeologic data for various projects. Work will span industries such as oil & gas, water & wastewater, telecommunications, and power. • Collaborate as a mid‑level team member or task manager on trenchless projects. • Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, and visual aids for tunneling and trenchless solutions. • Conduct site visits to evaluate ground and site conditions and act as an on‑site inspector when needed. • Apply standard trenchless engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks. • Interpret geotechnical, geological, and hydrogeologic investigation results to support design decisions. • Work across industries—including oil & gas, water & wastewater, telecommunications, and power—to support conveyance infrastructure. • Participate in employee assistance programs, well‑being resources, and service recognition awards.

What You Bring
We are hiring a motivated engineer for our Virginia Beach office to support the Global Tunneling & Trenchless Group operating across North America. The role involves trenchless engineering methods—including HDD, microtunneling, guided bore—and offers exposure to project planning, design, construction oversight, schedule and budget management, and client interaction in a consulting environment. Minimum qualifications are a BA/BS degree and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work. Preferred credentials include familiarity with geotechnical software, GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and the ability to obtain a PE license within two years. A valid driver’s license is also required. • Hold a BA/BS degree with at least four years of relevant experience or equivalent. • Demonstrate familiarity with geotechnical software, GIS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D (preferred). • Be eligible to obtain a PE license within two years (preferred). • Possess a valid driver’s license.
