About the Role
The Community Manager oversees all operations of a housing community, reporting to the Regional Manager, and is responsible for personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management. The role includes on‑site leadership, ensuring compliance with Asset Living policies, safety, fair‑housing guidelines, and liability standards. Preference is given to candidates with at least two years of affordable‑housing program experience (LIHTC, HUD, etc.), though related certifications are optional. • Supervise on‑site staff, handling hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, performance issues, and compliance with company policies. • Achieve maximum net operating income by controlling costs, optimizing revenue, and developing annual budgets and forecasts. • Create and execute yearly marketing plans; oversee leasing processes, resident retention programs, and address resident complaints. • Ensure accurate administrative and leasing reporting, manage emergency response, and maintain property appearance through regular inspections. • Direct maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation activities, securing vendor bids and monitoring work quality and timeliness.

What You Bring
• Require minimum two years of affordable‑housing program experience; preferred certifications include HCCP, HCP‑E, CAM or ARM. • Must possess high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations. • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and respond to on‑call emergencies; reliable transportation necessary.
