About the Role
The Surface Transportation Group Leader will be based in Albuquerque, NM and will oversee active project and program tasks across planning, engineering, construction support, and program management for surface transportation, transit, rail, bridges, utilities and related facilities. Responsibilities include crafting capture strategies, managing client relationships, mentoring staff, ensuring project scope, schedule and budget compliance, and driving business development and proposal efforts. • Lead and manage surface transportation projects and programs, overseeing planning, engineering, construction support, and interdisciplinary delivery. • Develop and execute project capture strategies, build client relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor representing AECOM's values. • Mentor staff, enforce company policies, and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change from inception to closeout. • Drive business development activities, including prospecting, proposal development, and client presentations, especially with NMDOT and local agencies. • Provide technical expertise, conduct quality‑control reviews, and prepare technical specifications for studies and design efforts.

What You Bring
• Minimum qualifications: BA/BS with 10+ years experience (including 2 years leadership); preferred: Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, NM PE license, 15+ years progressive experience, and strong NMDOT relationships.

Compensation for this role ranges from $135,000 to $220,000 annually. • Compensation range $135,000–$220,000 annually with a comprehensive benefits suite covering health, PTO, retirement, and employee stock purchase options.
