About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Director – Project Management on a permanent basis. In this role you will represent Mace, interface with key clients, lead teams effectively, provide clear direction and coach others to reach their full potential. The position involves overseeing project timelines, budgets and risk mitigation, managing end‑to‑end delivery for external clients, and ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations. You will provide subject‑matter expertise, lead client and consultant teams, drive collaboration, and integrate design, authority, procurement and construction programmes while delivering continuous process improvements. • Oversee project timelines and budgets, flagging risks and mitigation strategies. • Manage end‑to‑end project delivery for external clients from inception through post‑completion. • Ensure delivery aligns with stakeholder expectations and communicate strategies clearly. • Provide subject‑matter expertise and guidance to support project success. • Lead client, consultant and stakeholder teams to achieve project goals. • Drive collaboration among all parties involved in the project. • Produce integrated design and authority programmes aligned with procurement schedules. • Coordinate delivery through design, planning, procurement and construction phases against milestones. • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategies and initiatives. • Implement continuous process improvements using best practices and lessons learned.

Professional qualification such as MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent is required, along with proven stakeholder leadership in complex environments. • Demonstrate extensive experience delivering tunnelling and highways projects, including design, construction planning and procurement. • Exhibit strong NEC contract expertise with deep project‑management capability. • Hold a professional qualification such as MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent. • Show proven stakeholder leadership, collaborating effectively with clients and external partners on complex projects.
