About the Role

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear lift attachments to transport waste and recyclable materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Responsibilities include picking up containers that can exceed 1,000 lb, navigating high‑traffic roads, alleys, driveways, and lots, and performing skilled backing maneuvers in residential, commercial, or roll‑off scenarios. • Operate vehicles in compliance with WM safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend mandatory training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure dumping sites are left clean and debris‑free. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day paperwork, and assist fellow drivers as needed.
