About the Role

The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line. This role involves inspecting, separating, and directing items to the correct containers. • Inspect materials and sort items by type, size, condition, color, or paper grade. • Remove contaminants from paper and the work area. • Stack and dump boxes, skids, and totes. • Feed wastepaper onto the conveyor and keep the sorting line clean. • Monitor machine start‑up, ensure proper operation speed, and follow SOPs. • Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly. • Attend weekly/monthly safety and operations meetings.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates have a stable work history and manual‑labor experience. Experience in the waste industry is considered a huge plus. The position requires climbing, balancing, repetitive motions, and coordination of eye, hand, and foot, with occasional sitting and hearing demands. Work is performed both indoors (garage, shop) and outdoors in inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Candidates must possess a REAL ID or a TSA‑approved alternative, as the role may require air travel or access to federal property. The requirement ensures compliance with federal travel regulations. • Required: at least 3 months relevant work experience. • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED. • Physical tasks involve climbing, balancing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination in indoor and outdoor environments.
