About the Role
Based in Toledo, OH, the Commissioning Manager will oversee end‑to‑end commissioning processes for new builds or retrofits, ensuring that facility operations align with contract requirements and owner expectations. In this role, the manager will integrate commissioning activities into the overall quality‑control plan, collaborate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and operations teams, and coordinate schedules to meet project milestones while maintaining compliance and safety standards. • Lead site‑specific commissioning from Level 1 through Level 5 for new constructions and retrofits. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and operations teams to ensure compliant project delivery. • Develop and integrate start‑up and commissioning schedules into the overall project timeline. • Manage quality‑control and MEP teams to complete checklists, engineering documents, and test scripts. • Oversee equipment vendor compliance, documentation, and field inspections prior to energization. • Facilitate commissioning meetings, punch‑list prevention, and third‑party testing and inspections. • Contribute to project QC plans and maintain online equipment databases and closeout dashboards. • Interpret contract documents, specifications, codes, and system schematics to align project requirements. • Provide on‑boarding and training for new staff, vendors, and trade partners on quality and commissioning processes.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least 12 years of MEP construction experience, including five years of hands‑on commissioning work. Preferred qualifications include ASHRAE commissioning certification, expertise with building management and power‑management systems, and the ability to interpret complex contract documents and specifications. The position requires physical capability to perform on‑site tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting up to 45 lb, and navigating construction environments, as well as occasional travel. Employees must adhere to company safety policies and work effectively in both office and field settings. • Require a bachelor’s degree, minimum 12 years MEP construction experience and 5 years commissioning experience. • Prefer ASHRAE commissioning certification and experience with building management and electrical power‑management systems. • Ability to travel as needed and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting up to 45 lb.
