About the Role
The Mechanical Technician role focuses on safety, cost, and reliability, serving as a fluid power expert responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance of power transmission, fluid, and cooling systems. The technician coordinates with area departments, maintenance, and vendors to drive continuous improvement and reliability, and supports all maintenance activities to develop skills for advancement to an MNT Shift position. Safety is paramount, requiring the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

What You Bring
• Experience in industrial or military mechanical maintenance. • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. • Experience in steel mill mechanical maintenance. • Experience with various welding methods, hydraulic systems, and machine shop operations.
