Plan and execute predictive and breakdown maintenance for paper plant equipment.

About the Role
You will plan and execute predictive and breakdown maintenance across a range of machinery including pumps, blowers, conveyors, pulpers, refiners, agitators, vacuum pumps, hydraulic presses, air compressors and pneumatic valves and cylinders. Responsibilities also cover manpower allocation, attendance tracking, spare‑part planning, SAP purchase requisitions, material inspection and issue, drawing preparation, job estimation, safety and housekeeping compliance, and emergency response support to other engineering sections. • Perform predictive and breakdown maintenance on board machines, pumps, conveyors, pulpers, refiners, and pneumatic equipment. • Allocate manpower, manage attendance and leave records. • Plan spare parts, create purchase requisitions in SAP, inspect incoming material and issue material requests. • Prepare drawings, estimate jobs, and ensure safety, housekeeping and PMM compliance. • Respond to emergencies, support other engineering sections, and attend Tier 1/2, production, training and safety meetings. • Document ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 45001 procedures and manage safety work permits. • Identify and procure tools and spares needed for maintenance activities. • Control documents, maintain quality records, and support commissioning of plant equipment. • Lead quality improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 4Q projects, and 5S audits while ensuring environmental statutory compliance. • Prioritize corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, work independently, and adapt to shift work.

What You Bring
The position demands a Diploma or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, 6‑7 years of relevant experience (not exceeding 10 years), and solid computer skills in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous. Candidates must be able to evaluate and prioritize corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, work without close supervision, and adapt to shift work while spending significant time on their feet. • Hold a Mechanical Engineering diploma or degree with 6‑7 years of relevant experience (max 10 years) and proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
