About the Role
The Millwright Rigger supports construction projects by safely rigging, lifting, setting, and installing heavy mechanical equipment and structural components. The role works closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other trades to ensure installations are accurate, efficient, and compliant with construction drawings, lift plans, and safety regulations. • Perform safe rigging and lifting of heavy equipment using slings, shackles, chains, hoists, spreader bars, and cranes. • Signal and communicate with crane operators to coordinate lifts. • Load, unload, position, level, align, and anchor machinery and structural components. • Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to ensure accurate installation per drawings and lift plans. • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant work area. • Follow all company safety policies, complete required training (Orientation, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10, etc.) and halt work if unsafe conditions arise.
