About the Role
In this role you will assist staff with field tasks supporting various construction materials testing projects, and perform some office work as you become familiar with the project life cycle. You will conduct field testing of soils, aggregate, foundations, reinforced and post‑tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, asphalt pavement, and fireproofing, and document site observations and results in daily reports using proprietary CMT software. You will interact and collaborate with colleagues and clients, keeping the entire project team informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requests, and may attend project meetings as requested. As you gain experience, ECS will support your professional growth through internal and external training programs and certification opportunities. • Assist staff with field tasks on construction materials testing projects. • Conduct field testing of soils, aggregate, foundations, concrete, masonry, structural steel, asphalt pavement, and fireproofing. • Document site observations and results in daily reports using proprietary CMT software. • Communicate site conditions and testing requests to the project team and attend meetings as needed. • Begin learning soil classification techniques. • Apply functional knowledge of CMT principles, ASTM laboratory standards, and heavy construction safety.

What You Bring
The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology, along with a valid driver’s license and insurance. Candidates should have an interest in project management, consulting, and business development, functional knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM laboratory standards, strong communication skills, and an understanding of heavy‑construction safety practices. • Hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance. • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and collaborate effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
