About the Role

• Provide technical leadership to Project Engineers. • Plan engineering tasks, manage internal functions, and generate engineering management plans. • Engage with customers to ensure solutions meet expectations and communicate those expectations internally. • Plan and present engineering design gate reviews and coordinate with internal functions such as airworthiness and safety. • Execute all stages of the system lifecycle, from requirements management to qualification, per Eaton processes and customer requirements. • Manage engineering changes to maintain system integrity and ensure traceability of key design decisions. • Provide support and guidance across the product lifecycle. • Liaise with engineering leadership and programme management to ensure adequate resourcing and identify capability shortfalls.

What You Bring

The role is suited to an experienced engineer with a strong technical background who can lead a small indirect team and independently deliver large projects. The successful applicant will provide technical leadership, plan engineering tasks, engage with customers, manage risks, and oversee the full system lifecycle in accordance with Eaton processes and customer requirements. The position involves access to US ITAR‑controlled technology, goods, and information, and candidates may be required to undergo additional screening as a condition of employment. All employees with such access must adhere to strict export control regulations. • Technically lead large projects or multiple small projects. • Degree in a relevant subject (preferred). • 10 years of experience in an engineering role. • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders. • Self‑motivated and proactive, using technical skills and teamwork to resolve issues. • Experience with engineering lifecycle and design reviews. • Proficiency in technical report writing. • Comfortable presenting technical content at all business levels. • Some indirect or direct management experience. • Previously held engineering sign‑off for documents (not required). • Experience collaborating with project management to generate schedules (beneficial).
