About the Role
Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the store, performing daily tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping. • Operate machinery • Perform thorough cleaning activities such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping • Clean in‑store areas including toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, and oven canopies • Clean external areas such as trolley bays, removing leaves and debris • Apply all health and safety procedures

What You Bring

Arcus is recruiting a part‑time In Store Cleaner for Sainsbury’s Whitley Bay on a fixed‑term basis, 18 hours per week at £12.21 per hour. Sainsbury’s stores operate seven days a week; Arcus offers flexible shift patterns, including early morning, morning, afternoon and evening shifts, with options for five‑ or six‑day weeks. The current schedule for this role is Sunday 05:00‑08:00, Monday‑Friday 04:00‑07:00, Saturday 04:00‑07:00, with Tuesday off, and overtime is available.
