About the Role
The Engineer • Mechanical is responsible for a full spectrum of assignments related to determining, maintaining, and improving the efficiency, utilization, productivity, and quality of the assigned manufacturing work unit(s). They perform engineering activities ensuring the accomplishments of production, quality, and cost related objectives, and the compliance with Hubbell quality product certifications. The position requires managing project requests, analyzing technical requirements, conducting design and testing activities, and coordinating with other departments to drive product improvements and maintain high‑quality standards. • Review and evaluate project requests, planning activities for completion. • Analyze customer technical requirements and recommend solutions, including new product development or engineer‑to‑order designs. • Research industry standards and apply technical knowledge to product design inputs. • Design and develop products, conduct simulations, select materials, and create specifications. • Participate in cross‑functional teams to fulfill project requirements. • Request and evaluate laboratory tests and analyses. • Conduct engineering investigations of failures, complaints, and deviations, and deliver corrective solutions. • Initiate drawing orders, engineering changes, prototypes, and purchase requisitions. • Report project status and progress, performing additional duties as needed. • Collaborate with other departments on design for manufacturing, cost reduction, and process improvements. • Attend trade shows, supplier visits, seminars, and industry conferences to support sales and projects.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, and have 1–3 years of relevant experience. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with effective project management abilities and a collaborative mindset. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field. • 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience. • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities. • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. • Knowledge of electrical industry design standards and product release processes. • Effective project management capabilities. • Ability to work collaboratively across supply chain, operations, manufacturing, sales, and marketing. • Preferred experience in process improvement and data analysis.
