About the Role
The Civil Engineer will provide technical expertise for building maintenance and civil projects, ensuring compliance with NBC standards, continuous improvement and excellence in execution. The role also includes overseeing civil maintenance activities to sustain the longevity of plant structures. • Oversee maintenance and repair of civil infrastructure (walls, flooring, ceilings, doors, windows, plumbing, stormwater drains, roads, paver pathways). • Inspect and maintain structural components such as facades, false ceilings, panels, rolling shutters and sanitary installations. • Manage asset documentation using civil check sheets and maintain as‑built drawings for fire doors, glazed windows, ceilings, floors and RCC structures. • Develop work schedules, issue permits, and coordinate shutdown plans and 5S markings for maintenance activities. • Control inventory of construction materials (aggregates, cement, paints, consumables) ensuring proper coding and availability. • Maintain critical systems including rainwater trenches, high‑speed/low‑speed rolling shutters and plumbing fixtures. • Create detailed AutoCAD plans and perform cost estimations for design proposals. • Evaluate vendors, enforce quality‑assurance standards and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles. • Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety standards during project execution. • Lead work‑planning meetings, implement change‑control processes and supervise construction to meet design, quality and safety requirements. • Coordinate with global engineering teams, contractors and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and comprehensive documentation. • Provide technical support for civil design and construction, aligning initiatives with Sandvik standards.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least eight years of civil project management and building‑maintenance experience in process‑oriented environments, a civil engineering degree, and proficiency with AutoCAD and other engineering drawing tools. Strong EHS awareness, leadership, teamwork and time‑management skills are required, along with relevant certifications in building design and project management.
