About the Role
The Project Control Principal Analyst role supports a variety of contract types and offers opportunities to grow within the organization while gaining exposure to complex projects and cross‑functional collaboration. You will be responsible for cost control, project planning, reporting, and financial analysis across CPxF, firm‑fixed‑price and time‑and‑material contracts. • Develop and manage cost control systems for accurate and timely financial information. • Plan, track, analyze, and report on projects of varying sizes, complexities and contract types. • Facilitate work breakdown structure (WBS) creation with program, procurement and finance teams. • Conduct independent data analysis and produce visual cost‑status presentations. • Forecast variances, manage change orders and provide financial analysis to project leads. • Build and maintain revenue recognition models, EACs, ETCs and burn‑rate analyses using advanced Excel. • Perform monthly budget vs. actual cost analysis and communicate risks such as overruns or underspending. • Manage subcontracts and purchase orders, including requisitions, invoice processing and accruals. • Generate ad‑hoc reports to support project performance analysis and decision‑making.

What You Bring
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field and typically bring ten or more years of relevant experience, including three to five years in government contract financial management. Familiarity with cost‑reimbursable, firm‑fixed‑price and T&M contracts and an understanding of government contracting indirect rate structures are required; no security clearance is needed. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field. • Possess 10+ years of related work experience, including 3–5 years in government contract financial management. • Understand cost‑reimbursable, firm‑fixed‑price and time‑and‑material contracts and associated indirect rates. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving and budgeting skills while collaborating across departments. • Exhibit advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including financial modeling; proficient with Word and Office suite. • Possess knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations; ability to deepen federal contracting expertise. • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos reporting is preferred. • Communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to learn and apply new software, tools and systems for project controls and compliance.
