About the Role

The Baltimore office is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to support construction activities for the B&P Tunnel Replacement Program. The role is office‑based at a client field office in the Baltimore area and involves coordinating design services during construction. • Evaluate field conditions for compliance with design drawings and specifications. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary experts to address RFIs and design changes. • Manage schedule of post‑IFC design changes, set priorities and guide the team. • Interpret and communicate design requirements to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. • Review construction plans for technical compliance and clarity. • Collect and analyze shop drawings, specifications, material requirements, and project data throughout the project. • Ensure QA/QC standards are met and review construction submittals and material substitution requests. • Utilize Bluebeam to manage RFI and FDC processes and review construction staging drawings. • Provide technical direction to contractors and support design re‑work as needed.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably on transportation infrastructure projects. • Active PE license desirable; ability to obtain a Maryland PE may be required. • Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, and applicable standards. • Experience inspecting and monitoring contractor work. • Familiarity with construction scheduling and production time management. • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
