About the Role

The engineer will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems for the US Space Force. Responsibilities include supporting Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities, collaborating with contractors, government civilians, and USSF personnel, and leading working groups that handle technical discussions, risk identification, requirement gaps, briefings, and action‑item tracking. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading‑edge SE&I for the Space Systems Center, delivering secure and survivable satellite communications for warfighters. • Develop test and evaluation strategies, TEMP content, verification plans, test objectives, procedures, and evaluation criteria. • Collect, analyze, and report T&E data; support implementation of a common T&E database and DoD‑compliant deficiency reporting system. • Participate in T&E reviews, audits, IPTs, DRBs, MIPRBs, and TIMs; observe test execution at DoD and contractor facilities.

What You Bring

The position is on‑site in El Segundo with minimal travel and follows standard working hours. A Secret clearance is required, and candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field. • Hold a Secret clearance (ability to obtain) and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related field. • Possess 3–5 years of experience in multi‑faceted test activities, strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills. • Preferred: Top Secret clearance, 3–5 years of DoD/USAF T&E experience, master’s degree, SATCOM system testing background, 5+ years systems engineering, INCOSE CSEP/ESEP certification.

Compensation ranges from $98,000 to $122,000 in California, adjusted for the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
