About the Role

The position involves pioneering SAR and MTI algorithm development, performing technical analyses, and applying advanced research methods to R&D and operational support projects. The engineer will independently design and conduct research in complex problem areas, make decisions on R&D engineering challenges, and coordinate work. Implementation work uses scientific programming languages such as C, C++, Python, FORTRAN, and MATLAB to process SAR/MTI data, provide remote‑sensing expertise to DoD and Intelligence Community analysts, and support ad‑hoc studies in an R&D environment. • Conduct research and develop algorithms for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Moving Target Indicator (MTI) processing. • Provide technical analysis and apply advanced methods to R&D and operational support projects. • Design and execute research in complex technological problem areas using novel approaches. • Make independent decisions on R&D engineering problems and coordinate project work. • Develop and support SAR/MTI algorithms using C, C++, Python, FORTRAN, and MATLAB. • Deliver remote‑sensing and geospatial expertise to DoD and Intelligence Community analysts. • Perform ad‑hoc studies and analyses within an R&D environment.

What You Bring

The role requires a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in physical sciences, computer science, engineering or mathematics (Master’s/PhD preferred), at least eight years of experience, strong MATLAB, C, and Python skills, and a TS/SCI clearance (Polygraph ready preferred).
