About the Role
The role’s primary focus is generating new sales opportunities through phone, email, or other electronic communication and responding to customer order and quotation requests received via outside salespersons, telephone, e‑mail, written, and faxed correspondence. Key responsibilities include prospecting for new sales, generating leads via outbound calls and e‑mail, providing pricing and delivery information, procuring and maintaining inventory while monitoring inventory turns, following up to ensure timely shipment and customer satisfaction, resolving service issues, tracking open orders, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Work is guided by clearly prescribed rules and past practices; the employee selects correct processes, seeks supervisor guidance on non‑routine issues, and operates under close supervision with limited independent judgment, often undergoing detailed checks by senior staff. • Generate new sales leads via phone, email, and other electronic channels. • Respond to customer order and quotation requests from salespersons, phone, email, fax, and written communication. • Provide pricing and delivery information and procure/maintain inventory with proper turnover. • Follow up on shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. • Resolve customer service issues and track open sales orders. • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, and candidates should have 0‑2 years of experience in a similar area of responsibility. • Operate in an indoor office setting, primarily seated, with occasional light lifting. • Travel overnight less than 10% of the time. • Hold a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and 0‑2 years of relevant experience.
