About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports an affordable‑housing community, performing corrective, preventative, routine, emergency and cosmetic maintenance, handling make‑ready processes, and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. • Attend the property daily and respond promptly to resident and management work orders. • Perform repairs and replacements in common areas, buildings, and units. • Assist with scheduling and execution of turn‑over maintenance events. • Maintain exterior grounds, breezeways, and common areas, including daily clean‑up. • Conduct swimming‑pool maintenance, cleaning, and accurate chemical logging. • Inspect grounds and facilities daily to identify and correct hazards. • Execute preventative‑maintenance tasks to extend property life and reduce future repairs. • Keep the maintenance shop organized, stocked, and compliant with OSHA safety standards. • Support the hazard‑communication program and promote safe work practices. • Participate in unit inspections and track inventory of equipment and supplies. • Record service requests, EPA/OSHA compliance, make‑ready status, and work‑in‑progress details. • Perform general upkeep of office, common areas, and model unit. • Report community rule violations to the supervisor or manager. • Provide on‑call emergency assistance as needed. • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure timely resolution of service requests. • Uphold community policies and represent the property positively.

What You Bring

Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA, and must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, work overtime, weekends and on‑call emergencies; reliable transportation is required.
