About the Role

In this role the individual will act as technical lead or task manager on multiple projects, preparing and reviewing technical memoranda, permitting documents, and reports. They will conduct wildlife surveys, oversee field crews, and work closely with clients on species protection, permitting, mitigation, and restoration. • Lead technical tasks and manage project schedules and teams. • Prepare and senior‑review technical memoranda, permitting documents, and reports. • Conduct wildlife surveys, site visits, and oversee field crews. • Collaborate with clients and internal staff on species protection, permitting, mitigation, and restoration. • Mentor junior and mid‑level staff within the Environment practice.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, or a related field, have at least six years of relevant experience, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and U.S. citizenship. Preferred qualifications include eight or more years of experience, project‑management skills, and knowledge of northern California special‑status wildlife and related regulations. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, or a related field. • Have at least 6 years of experience in habitat assessments, wildlife surveys, permitting, or construction monitoring. • Maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. citizenship. • Prefer 8+ years of experience, project‑management background, and knowledge of northern California special‑status wildlife. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and organizational skills. • Obtain required CDFW Scientific Collecting Permit and/or USFWS 10(a)(1)(A) permit. • Apply knowledge of CEQA and NEPA processes.
