About the Role
The Cleanroom Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity of GMP‑controlled pharmaceutical production environments by performing thorough cleaning and sanitizing tasks. This role ensures strict adherence to contamination control protocols, follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and consistently wears appropriate cleanroom personal protective equipment (PPE). Key duties include routine sanitization of labs, controlled areas, and support spaces using cleanroom‑rated equipment, surface cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, vacuuming, tack‑mat replacement, and ceiling, wall, and vent cleaning. The technician follows Standard Operating Procedures and Good Documentation Practices, maintains accurate electronic cleaning logs, manages inventory of supplies, and collaborates with Manufacturing, Quality, and GMP Operations teams to align cleaning schedules with production timelines. • Perform routine and periodic sanitization of cleanroom environments. • Clean floors using cleanroom‑rated equipment and approved disinfectants. • Wipe surfaces (doors, frames, partitions, glass) with isopropyl alcohol. • Vacuum cleanrooms with certified cleanroom vacuums. • Replace and clean tack‑matting beneath entry mats. • Sanitize ceilings, walls, and vents with specialized tools. • Follow SOPs and Good Documentation Practices; complete electronic cleaning logs. • Rotate and apply disinfectants according to schedule. • Maintain organization and inventory of cleaning supplies and gowning articles. • Coordinate cleaning schedules with Manufacturing, Quality, and GMP Operations teams. • Participate in training on disinfectant use, cleanroom equipment, and safety procedures. • Wear full cleanroom PPE (gown, mask, gloves, shoe covers, goggles/face shield) at all times. • Report facility or equipment issues promptly to supervisors. • Support waste removal and receptacle sanitization in GMP areas. • Perform corrective cleaning to address microbial contamination excursions. • Work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. • Lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds regularly.

What You Bring
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a biopharmaceutical GMP environment, preferably in cleanroom sanitization. The position requires strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and physical capability to lift 50+ pounds and perform extended periods of work in full cleanroom gowning. • Demonstrate reliable attendance and professional demeanor. • Proficiency with basic business computer applications.
