About the Role
Based at Mt Eden Corrections Facility, the successful candidate will perform general maintenance and repairs in a 24/7 prison environment, handling both scheduled and reactive work while maintaining professionalism after hours when required. • Provide direction to teams during unexpected events. • Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and implement solutions. • Perform scheduled, first‑response, and reactive maintenance to minimise service disruptions. • Complete plumbing work safely while meeting client and contract requirements. • Coordinate with other trades to ensure jobs are fully finished. • Maintain plumbing services in good working order through proactive problem‑solving.

What You Bring
The ideal applicant is a NZ‑certified plumber who can work independently, holds a full class 1 driver’s licence (manual), is physically capable of regular bending and lifting, and demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality. • Hold NZ Certified Plumber or Tradesman Plumber qualification. • Possess a full class 1 driver’s licence and be able to operate a manual vehicle. • Be physically fit for regular bending, lifting and agile tasks.
