About the Role

Key responsibilities include acting as a servant leader to run all Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a collaborative, self‑organising team environment. The Scrum Master will work closely with the product owner to define and prioritize the backlog, assist in sprint planning and estimation, track metrics such as velocity and burndown, and proactively manage project risks and dependencies. • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives. • Remove impediments and roadblocks to maintain team momentum. • Coach the development team and product owner on Agile best practices. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to promote transparency and continuous improvement. • Define, prioritize, and clarify user stories in the product backlog. • Assist in sprint estimation, tracking progress, and meeting sprint goals. • Track and report key metrics such as velocity and burndown charts. • Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactively.

What You Bring

Johnson Controls is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join its dynamic development team in Pune, supporting the Bangalore operations. The role focuses on facilitating the Agile development process, guiding the development team, product owner, and the wider organization on Scrum principles, and ensuring delivery of high‑quality software solutions. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5‑10 years of software development experience and at least 3‑5 years in a Scrum Master role. A strong technical background, proven expertise in agile frameworks, and a Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) are preferred.
