About the Role
A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role includes ensuring the vehicle complies with the company’s safety standards, adhering to all company, state and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports. Drivers perform comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. They follow assigned route sheets, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities, and maintain accurate productivity and condition reports. Customer interaction is a key part of the job; drivers must communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and co‑workers, identify unsatisfactory waste containers, tag them according to procedures, and clean any accidental spills while following safety standards. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and submit daily Vehicle Condition Reports. • Operate the collection truck safely along assigned routes, loading, compacting, and disposing of waste. • Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service. • Identify, tag, and report unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Clean accidental waste spills and maintain vehicle cleanliness to reduce downtime. • Complete route, productivity, and other required paperwork accurately. • Meet departmental productivity standards while following all safety policies and the ReSOP program.

What You Bring
The position requires a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brakes endorsement and a strong commitment to safety, time management, and adherence to company policies. Drivers are expected to meet productivity standards, participate in the ReSOP safety program, and perform additional duties as assigned. • Hold a Class B (or higher) CDL with air‑brakes endorsement.
