About the Role
The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, supports the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems, and manages projects while training and mentoring service and contract technicians. Day‑to‑day duties include promoting a safe working environment, maintaining and troubleshooting all conveyor systems, leading and auditing preventative maintenance procedures, installing and maintaining control components such as relay logic, sensors, motor starters, and solenoids, and creating detailed work orders with labor, equipment, and parts data. The role also involves developing training plans, emergency repair work plans, and requires up to 20% travel and the ability to work 12‑hour shifts with occasional reasonable accommodation. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Promote a safe work environment and enforce safety procedures. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and control components (relay logic, ladder diagrams, sensors, motor starters, etc.). • Create and close work orders with detailed labor, equipment, and parts data. • Develop training plans and emergency work plans for service technicians. • Perform repetitive motions, lift average 20 lb (up to 49 lb), and work on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts. • Work at heights, push/pull equipment up to 100 lb, and navigate cramped spaces under machinery.

What You Bring
• High school diploma or equivalent. • 3+ years preventative maintenance experience. • 3+ years reading blueprints and schematics. • 2+ years work order management experience. • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays. • Ability to lift up to 49 lb and stand/walk up to 12‑hour shifts. • Associate’s or higher degree in mechanical/electrical field (preferred). • 5+ years experience with automated conveyors and controls (preferred). • 2+ years experience with electrical and electronic principles (preferred). • 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical/electrical experience (preferred). • Leadership and vendor management experience (preferred). • Experience with robotic maintenance, MHE safety standards, and CMMS (preferred).
