About the Role
The Senior Landscape Architect will join a new Project Management Office focused on major highway and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing landscape architecture components across multiple road programs and collaborating with internal and external disciplines to ensure design integrity. • Oversee landscape architecture components of multiple road infrastructure projects within the Road Program, ensuring design integrity and alignment with strategic objectives. • Lead technical reviews of landscape designs prepared by third‑party firms, recommending updates and ensuring compliance with PMO standards. • Coordinate with external designers and internal disciplines (road, utility, drainage, electrical, architectural) to resolve conflicts and optimise landscape integration. • Supervise implementation of awarded landscape designs, verifying adherence to approved tender documentation. • Develop strategies for consistent landscape quality and character across the program, addressing local site conditions and design constraints. • Participate in recruitment and staffing, including CV screening, interviews, hiring recommendations, and preparing performance evaluations for junior staff. • Engage with the client to communicate complex landscape design issues, deliver technical presentations, progress reports, and critical decision points throughout the project lifecycle. • Lead visual coordination and specification of architectural finishes for exposed structural elements, including cladding systems, surface treatments, pigment integration, form liner textures, and graphic or mural applications aligned with the overall landscape and urban design vision.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or Architecture with a specialization in Landscape Design. • Minimum 15 years of professional experience on infrastructure and large‑scale urban projects. • Expertise in softscape/hardscape integration, irrigation design, site grading, environmental mitigation, and aesthetic specification of architectural cladding systems. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with BIM tools (Revit, Rhino 3D, Civil 3D) and GIS. • Proven experience obtaining authority approvals, conducting site inspections, and leading cross‑disciplinary project teams. • Prior experience working in a PMO environment. • Strong leadership, team management, and decision‑making abilities. • Clear understanding of PMO processes, project lifecycle, and risk management for public infrastructure. • Excellent presentation and client interaction skills, especially with government stakeholders. • Membership in a recognized professional organization (e.g., IFLA, ASLA, SCE). • Ability to balance design innovation with practical and budgetary constraints.
