About the Role
The Service/Telematics Planner supports the Equipment Services department by handling system administration, process improvements, telematics coordination, preventative‑maintenance tracking, and ensuring equipment data accuracy across mobile and web platforms. The role acts as a liaison among field technicians, mechanics, accounting, and management to keep equipment utilization, maintenance, and billing efficient. The job involves regular use of personal protective equipment, frequent reaching, stooping, lifting up to 50 lb, and occasional climbing of stairs or ladders. Employees must adhere to all safety standards and may work varying shifts, including swing, night, and weekend schedules. • Administer ES department systems, provide IT support, and drive process improvements. • Coordinate and maintain telematics devices (Vision Link, JD Link, iCraneTrax) across the heavy‑equipment fleet. • Ensure accurate equipment data in OEM and fleet‑management applications (CAT, CAT Inspect, etc.). • Manage fuel and DEF inventories, record entries, and generate month‑end reports. • Track machine‑control and survey‑gear inventory, including transfers and documentation. • Monitor preventative‑maintenance work orders, assign tasks, and ensure timely closure. • Process equipment‑related invoices for fuel, DEF, and telematics, and handle payment. • Perform month‑end close activities such as journal entries and reconciliations for fuel, telematics, and inventory. • Support field lube technicians and mechanics with JD Edwards (E1) questions, training, and troubleshooting. • Collaborate effectively with technicians, mechanics, accounting, and management.

What You Bring
The position requires collaboration with field staff and the ability to use JD Edwards (EnterpriseOne) for work‑order and inventory tasks, along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or GED is required; experience in heavy‑equipment dealership operations, preventative‑maintenance programs, and heavy‑job workflows is preferred. • Demonstrated experience with JD Edwards (EnterpriseOne); heavy‑job experience preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and possess strong organizational ability with high attention to detail.
