About the Role

Mortenson is seeking a Structured Cabling Installer responsible for safely assisting Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. Duties include material handling, installation, assembling and dismantling low voltage carrier systems, preparing work areas, and cleaning workspaces. The installer measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit using hand tools, safely operates hand and power tools after proper training, lifts, positions, and fastens objects, and prepares and supplies materials and tools for electrical trades. They maintain a clean and organized work area, work under close supervision following standard procedures, build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, and perform any other assigned duties. • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools. • Operate hand and power tools safely after training. • Lift, position, and fasten objects; handle materials up to 100 lb. • Prepare and supply materials and tools for electrical trades. • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment. • Work under close supervision following standard procedures. • Build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds. • Follow instructions, ask clarifying questions, and demonstrate teamwork. • Read and interpret safety regulations, blueprints, schematics, and manuals. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements; lift up to 50 lb (assist over 50 lb). • Provide positive customer service and effective communication.

What You Bring

Relevant experience and apprenticeship graduation are preferred, and a current driver’s license is required. Candidates must read and interpret safety regulations, blueprints, schematics, and manuals, and operate power and hand tools. They should follow instructions, ask clarifying questions, handle materials up to 100 lb, demonstrate strong teamwork, a positive attitude, professional customer service, detail orientation, active listening, and effective communication. Physical requirements include repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements and lifting up to 50 lb (assistance required for loads over 50 lb). Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
