About the Role

Responsibility includes ensuring on‑time delivery and high quality of the controls sub‑system, managing design artifacts, verification, and validation activities while upholding a safety‑first culture. The role requires reviewing and agreeing on control system requirements, designing solutions, analyzing functional behavior through modeling and simulation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, customers, and operators. • Review and confirm control and monitoring system requirements, ensuring testability. • Design and implement control and monitoring systems to meet customer and standards. • Model, simulate, and analyze functional behavior to validate designs. • Coordinate with engineering disciplines, suppliers, customers, and operators for effective system design. • Troubleshoot hardware and software control issues and communicate corrective actions promptly. • Produce clear reports documenting work and prepare technical presentations for diverse audiences.

What You Bring

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering (or computer science) with at least one year of systems engineering experience, be a U.S. citizen, and ideally have two or more years of controls experience, knowledge of gas turbines, proficiency with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, and strong problem‑solving skills. • Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% as needed. • Hold a B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 1+ year systems engineering experience, or an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in related fields. • Must be a U.S. citizen. • 2+ years of controls systems experience preferred. • Knowledge of gas turbine engines, generators, and their control systems. • Proficiency with design and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, JMP. • Experience with root cause analysis and problem‑solving techniques. • Self‑motivated with ability to manage tasks to completion and keep stakeholders informed. • Comfortable working collaboratively or independently on projects.
