About the Role

The operator identifies coil part numbers and quantities from the Run Sheet, retrieves the required small parts, and enters the part numbers into the coil winding machine. Physical tasks include lifting up to 40 lb and performing bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations. The role requires consistent use of personal protective equipment and the ability to work efficiently in hot environments while tolerating loud noises. The employee sets up the coil winding machine, selecting the correct mandrel size, duct parts, insulation tape, paper thickness, wire or bar size, part number, and material alignment. Devices are installed and adjusted, strips, conductors, and insulation paper are loaded, and measurements are taken to verify alignment before activating the machine. The operator follows Run Screen instructions to feed materials, wind coils at the specified rate, and label each coil with ID, work order, part, and clock numbers. The operator oversees and enforces lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe deactivation and isolation of equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations and organizational safety guidelines. Overhead cranes and hoisting equipment are safely operated to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
