About the Role

The engineer will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on MTU rail products, adhering to approved manuals and contract requirements, while embracing digitalisation. • Perform preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance per manuals and contracts. • Participate in continuous improvement and suggest enhancements. • Conduct planned maintenance according to operating instructions. • Attend customer meetings to obtain sign‑off for completed work. • Diagnose faults and repair using technical drawings and guides. • Complete all required documentation for performed work. • Contribute to HSQE management processes proactively. • Keep on‑site facilities clean and orderly. • Attend local and factory training to maintain current skills. • Support additional activities such as work in other depots when needed. • Accurately record parts used to maintain stock control. • Utilise IT systems (Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Go, Diasys, Outlook).

What You Bring

The position requires an engineering background, preferably NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or equivalent, with outstanding safety awareness. Candidates should be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, email) and will receive on‑the‑job training for SAP and the MTU Business Portal. Preferred attributes include proactivity, strong initiative, solid organisational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work well with others. • Engineering background with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. • Strong safety awareness. • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, email); SAP and MTU Business Portal training provided. • Effective team player with strong collaboration abilities.
