About the Role
The engineer will lead QVE projects, analyze existing DCS electrical designs, and identify improvement opportunities related to cost, reliability, and performance. Responsibilities include developing and updating schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs using CAD tools, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to implement design changes, and evaluating alternative components and suppliers for cost‑out and supply‑chain resilience. Additional duties involve supporting sustaining engineering for UPS, PDU, STS, and battery cabinets, ensuring compliance with IEEE, IEC, UL, NEC standards, conducting VAVE workshops, participating in design reviews, FMEA, and root‑cause analysis, and maintaining accurate documentation and PLM change management. • Lead QVE projects to reduce cost, simplify designs, and optimize components. • Analyze and improve existing DCS electrical designs for cost, reliability, and performance. • Create and update schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs using industry‑standard CAD tools. • Collaborate with Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality teams to implement design changes. • Evaluate alternate components and suppliers for cost savings and supply‑chain resilience. • Support sustaining engineering for UPS, PDU, STS, and battery cabinets, handling issue resolution and design updates. • Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, UL, NEC standards and internal design protocols. • Conduct VAVE workshops to generate product‑improvement and cost‑out ideas. • Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and root‑cause analysis for field failures. • Maintain documentation and manage design changes through PLM systems.

What You Bring
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Design Engineer to support Quality Value Engineering (QVE) initiatives within our Data Center Systems (DCS) product line. The role focuses on optimizing electrical designs for performance, cost, manufacturability, and sustainability while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and brings 8–10 years of experience in electrical design for data‑center infrastructure, with strong knowledge of components, circuit protection, power distribution, and grounding systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools, familiarity with PLM systems, and solid analytical, communication, and project‑management skills are required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8–10 years of relevant experience. • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design tools and familiar with PLM change‑management processes. • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and project‑management skills.
