About the Role

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role also involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Key duties include promoting a safe work environment, completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. Technicians also create, assign, and close work orders, track labor hours, parts usage, and inventory, and mentor junior staff while maintaining positive relationships across the facility. • Promote a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures. • Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment and document activities. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on MHE, belts, motors, sensors, and relays. • Create, assign, and close work orders while tracking labor hours, parts usage, and inventory. • Mentor junior technicians and foster teamwork across the facility. • Maintain accurate records using a CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience repairing material handling or conveyor systems, two years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience, and one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. Candidates must also possess knowledge of electrical principles, experience with a CMMS, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, and the ability to work flexible schedules. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in a mechanical or electrical field, familiarity with OEM and safety standards for material handling equipment, and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions is also valued. The position requires physical capabilities such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and regularly lifting up to 50 lb. Workers must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, navigate a warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations, and walk 6–12 miles per day between departments. • Require high school diploma plus 2+ years of MHE repair experience and blueprint reading. • Preferred: associate degree in mechanical/electrical, robotics experience, and OEM safety standards knowledge. • Physical ability to reach overhead, lift up to 50 lb, use aerial lifts, and work in varying temperatures.
