Join Williams Civil Construction as an Estimator! You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids and proposals, and providing valuable insights to support decision‑making processes. Your expertise in cost estimation, construction methods, and industry trends will be instrumental in helping Williams Civil Construction secure and execute successful projects. • Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and project documents. • Evaluate construction methods and materials to select efficient, cost‑effective approaches. • Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead. • Develop comprehensive bids and proposals incorporating schedules, value‑engineering options, and client requirements. • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. • Analyze project costs to identify savings, value‑engineering alternatives, and risk factors. • Conduct market research to monitor trends, benchmarks, and material prices for informed bidding. • Assess project risks and develop contingency and mitigation strategies. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure accurate estimates. • Maintain organized records of bid documents, cost estimates, proposals, and related correspondence.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field (experience may substitute). • Minimum 5 years estimating experience in civil construction, with a proven bidding track record. • Proficiency in takeoff and estimating software such as Bluebeam and HCSS HeavyBid; familiarity with 3D modeling tools preferred. • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities for accurate quantity takeoffs and financial analysis. • Knowledge of civil infrastructure materials, methods, and techniques including earthwork, concrete, paving, and utilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration. • Keen attention to detail in reviewing drawings, specifications, and contracts. • Effective time‑management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capabilities to develop practical solutions.
