About the Role
As a CMV Producibility Manufacturing Engineer you will drive continuous improvement, support production and new‑product‑introduction activities, and provide technical leadership to integrate new products while building capability across the wider team. The role requires delivering robust, efficient and safe manufacturing solutions throughout the product life‑cycle. You will develop and assure manufacturing solutions that meet specifications and standards, plan and deliver technical work packages on time and budget, and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain and other stakeholders to embed best practice. You will also define verification and qualification strategies, resolve emerging technical issues, capture and reuse manufacturing knowledge, and support production, build, maintenance and decommissioning activities. • Develop and assure robust manufacturing solutions that meet requirements, tolerate variation, and comply with or create standards. • Plan, project manage, and deliver technical work packages and investigations within agreed cost, time, quality, and programme milestones. • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and other stakeholders to integrate cross‑functional knowledge and best practices. • Define and deliver verification, justification, and qualification strategies, and lead resolution of emergent technical issues. • Capture, manage, and reuse manufacturing knowledge while promoting continuous improvement of tools, processes, and methods. • Support production, build, maintenance, and decommissioning activities in line with company objectives and professional standards. • Apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems. • Provide experience across the product life cycle, including design safety justification, manufacturing, integration, maintenance/refit, and operational issue resolution. • Develop methods, standards, and processes for manufacturing.

What You Bring
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, possess relevant technical expertise, and be able to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to complex problems. Experience in product integrity, design safety justification, development of methods, standards and processes, and membership of a professional engineering body are also required. Applicants must be able to obtain a Security Check clearance (support will be provided) and be a UK national or a MoD‑approved dual national. Rolls‑Royce Submarines offers a Grade 7/10 position with salary dependent on experience, and encourages candidates to inform their current manager of the application. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and relevant technical expertise. • Demonstrate knowledge of product integrity, liability, and justification. • Maintain membership in a relevant professional engineering body or be working towards it.
