Finance Analyst - Contract to Billing
Client-side transactional accounting, billing, and revenue management
Job Highlights
About the Role
The role supports client‑side transactional accounting for MES, collaborating with client account teams to review and set up new contracts and projects, and interpret contract language and MOUs. You will prepare complex client invoices and accounting entries in PeopleSoft and Corrigo, manage monthly revenue uploads, journal entries, and expense allocations, and address billing inquiries while following up on outstanding receivables. Additionally, you will lead finance calls with client teams, maintain billing checklists, contribute to process improvements, and assist with invoice audits, budgets, and forecasts to ensure compliance with internal audit and SAS 70 standards. • Review and set up new contracts and projects, interpreting contract language and MOUs. • Prepare complex client invoices and accounting entries in PeopleSoft and Corrigo. • Execute monthly revenue uploads, journal entries, and expense accruals/reclassifications. • Respond to billing inquiries, follow up on outstanding receivables, and provide cash application guidance. • Lead finance calls with client account teams to resolve billing questions. • Maintain and update monthly billing checklists and support billing process improvements. • Assist with client invoice audits, budgeting, and forecasting activities. • Ensure compliance with internal audit and SAS 70 standards.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least three years of corporate accounting experience are required, along with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PeopleSoft 9.2, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, are essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to multitask, work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and collaborate independently or within a team while committing to client service and embracing new challenges. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years of corporate accounting experience. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and PeopleSoft 9.2. • Ability to multitask, prioritize under pressure, and work both independently and collaboratively.
