About the Role
• Perform general plumbing maintenance and minor upgrade works according to PAS service definitions. • Maintain and repair water supply, sewerage, drainage and other plumbing systems across the base. • Undertake backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valve testing where certified. • Respond promptly to service requests and urgent repairs.

What You Bring
Downer has secured the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to provide base and estate services across NSW/ACT and QLD, marking a major milestone in its 80‑plus year partnership with the Australian Defence Force. We are now inviting applications for a permanent Plumber position at Holsworthy Barracks, with a start date in February 2026, and we welcome candidates from any background, whether they have Defence experience, industry knowledge, or transferable skills. • Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent). • Current NSW Plumbing Licence. • Post‑trade experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably in facilities or Defence environments. • Demonstrated ability to manage plumbing system maintenance, drainage, and water systems. • Backflow Prevention Certification and Gas Work Licence (Type A) – desirable. • Current open driver’s licence and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required). • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
