About the Role
The role focuses on onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of all drivers and helpers, while building positive relationships with front‑line employees. Most of the day is spent in the field alongside these employees. Key duties include providing new frontline staff with tools, instruction, and daily feedback; maintaining consistent communication through regular touchpoints; reviewing best practices to boost performance; and supporting employees' career goals. The position also involves identifying improvement opportunities, conducting root‑cause investigations for injuries, maintaining regulatory documentation, and auditing route operation records such as DVIRs and time sheets. • Onboard, coach, mentor, and manage performance of drivers and helpers. • Provide daily tools, instruction, feedback, and regular touchpoints for frontline staff. • Review best practices and conduct root‑cause investigations for injuries and incidents. • Audit route documentation (DVIRs, time, attendance, tickets) and ensure regulatory compliance. • Visit customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues and explore service alternatives. • Work in a hybrid office/field environment using standard office equipment.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are an associate's degree (or a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience), being at least 18 years old, legal work eligibility, and a valid driver's license. Preferred candidates have successfully completed the WM Operations Manager Trainee program.
