About the Role
Mechanics will maintain and repair the trucks and equipment that serve millions of customers across the United States, using modern tools and procedures. The role includes work on both diesel and, at some locations, CNG trucks, ensuring each vehicle leaves the shop ready to support the local community. • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Review, complete, or assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with Corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring
Candidates need at least four years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and must meet the physical demands of the job. WM looks for team‑oriented, independent problem‑solvers who enjoy varied daily challenges and can adhere to safety standards. • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience • Valid driver’s license with clean record • Age 18 or older • Legal eligibility to work in the United States • Ability to meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team • Determined problem solver • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, grasping; occasional sitting and balancing • Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc. • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes • Work in both indoor garage/shop/gas plant and outdoor inclement conditions
